Something Sweet Valentine Card 2

For this card, I kept the same design as my last card except I wanted to use the sweet treat cup with it.  I used a Melon Mambo card base, Pink Pirouette for the layer, and Whisper White to stamp on.  I used Melon Mambo to ink up the machine.

I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig a great deal in lining all the stamps up just right.  I then used the small heart punch and added several of the punched hearts to the sweet treat cup.  I finished off the card with a sentiment from the new P.S. I Love You set and some Pretty in Pink satin ribbon.  If you have any questions, please let me know!  Thanks!

Something Sweet Valentine Card 1

I wanted to pull out this Something Sweet stamp set and do a Valentine's card with it.  I used this same layout on a card last year and I really liked how it looked.  I used Crystal Effects over the globe part to give it the 'glass' effect.  This set is so fun to use!  Check back next week for a card with the same design but using the sweet treat cups!  Thanks for looking!!

Shower Favors

With the exception of my card for a challenge, I haven't used this stamp set in a VERY long time.  I am hosting a baby shower for a dear friend of mine and I wanted to do some favors using this set and the "stash" of these treat cups that I've had for some time.  They really were easy and didn't take very long to make at all!

Supplies: (All supplies are Stampin' Up! products)
Paper: Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Bashful Blue Classic, Stazon
Stamps: Something Sweet
Accessories: White Taffeta Ribbon, candy treats, glue dots, Large Scallop punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, sweet treat cups, Tombow multipurpose glue

Something Sweet Card

I created this card for the How Sweet it Is challenge over at http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com/.  The challenge was to use some sweet treat on your project.  I haven't used this stamp set in a very long time so I thought I would give it a try!

I wanted to use seam binding that matched my project, but since the seam binding does not come in the new Lucky Limeade color, I created my own.   I placed the binding directly onto my ink pad and then I used a sponge to hold it on the top. I pulled the seam binding between the pad and sponge to apply the color.  After it dried, I attached it to my card.

When I was finished stamping the project, I applied crystal effects to the entire globe portion of the card.  I did use black craft ink and black embossing powder for the globe, so it helped keep the crystal effects inside.

I really enjoyed making this project and I hope you have enjoyed viewing it!  Thanks for looking!
