Something Sweet Valentine Card 2

For this card, I kept the same design as my last card except I wanted to use the sweet treat cup with it.  I used a Melon Mambo card base, Pink Pirouette for the layer, and Whisper White to stamp on.  I used Melon Mambo to ink up the machine.

I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig a great deal in lining all the stamps up just right.  I then used the small heart punch and added several of the punched hearts to the sweet treat cup.  I finished off the card with a sentiment from the new P.S. I Love You set and some Pretty in Pink satin ribbon.  If you have any questions, please let me know!  Thanks!

Something Sweet Valentine Card 1

I wanted to pull out this Something Sweet stamp set and do a Valentine's card with it.  I used this same layout on a card last year and I really liked how it looked.  I used Crystal Effects over the globe part to give it the 'glass' effect.  This set is so fun to use!  Check back next week for a card with the same design but using the sweet treat cups!  Thanks for looking!!

Valentine's Day Cards

I love this girl stamp.  She is from the Greeting Card Kids set.  I colored her on one image with water color crayons and the other with water color pencils.

In the card above I used the water color crayons.  I used water color paper and it makes all the difference when trying to get nice, vibrant colored images.

On this card I used the water color pencils.  It's not as vibrant as the crayons, but the color moves a bit better.  I did use the aqua painter with both images and I usually like to use blender pens with the water color crayons.

The base layers are the same for both cards and I used lots of goodies from the Occasions mini.  I used Whisper White and embossed the bottom of the panel with the adorning accents heart folder.  I used the labels framelits dies to matte the focal image. I did 3 score lines above the hearts for a little more interest.

Valentine Cards

When I saw this new set in the Occasions Mini Catalog, I knew i had to have it. It is so cute and was super fun to play with. I created three versions of the card and decided on the poppy version for my monthly stamp club swaps.

I started with a 4 1/2" square card. I cut my layers 1/4" shorter from that. I stamped all card bases with En Francais background stamp. (some in Pretty in Pink and some in Pure Poppy)I stamped the heart rows from top to bottom: Real Red, Melon Mambo, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink.

For the card above, I created the base layer out of Pretty in Pink and I sponged the edges with the same ink.  I also created my own Pretty in Pink color spritz.  I put several drops of Pretty in Pink re-inker into a spray bottle with some water and sprayed some Very Vanillia seam binding.  I crinkled it as I dried it with the heat tool.

For the card above, the base layer is Pure Poppy and I used the Pure Poppy twill ribbon.

On the card above, I used Regal Rose base layer and Real Red Satin Ribbon.  On this card I did not punch out each heart.  I stamped them directly onto the white layer.

For the first two cards I used the small heart punch and punched out each heart.  I then popped them up onto dimensionals and lined them up on the card.

If you have any questions, please let me know!  Thanks for looking!!

Stamp Group Cards

It's that time of the month again......stamp group!!  This one is special because tomorrow is my birthday and I get to stamp on my birthday!! YEAH!!  This is a card that I demonstrated at my last workshop.  I liked it so much I thought I would make it my swaps for my stamp group.

This card was created using the marker to stamp technique.  This is done when you apply the marker ink directly to your stamp.  Then you "huff" on it and then stamp it onto your card.  If you have any questions about this technique, just let me know.

Thanks for stopping by!
